The Peninsula Way encompasses Berry springs, Dundee Beach and Mandorah travelling west off the Stuart Highway on the Cox Peninsula Road. The Peninsula Way region provides a tantalising taste of the Top End's most pristine landscapes and unique wildlife within an hour from Darwin City. Locals consider it as their 'best-kept secret" the perfect getaway for a weekend of relaxing by a spring fed creek, saluting a sunset on an isolated beach or hauling in a big one within cooee of the pub.
After leaving Dundee Beach, Margaret and Karen took a left off Fogg Bay Road, and on a great road ended up at Mandorah Beach where a sign warned of Box Jelly fish. Not a mention of Crocs!!! There was a perfect nesting place for them behind sand dunes on the most beautiful beach. In the distance the city of Darwin was just visible. Karen didn't venture out of the safety of the car. Margaret, being the official photographer, didn't miss the opportunity to see the beach.
